Looking Up

I was looking over the number of visitors to my blog today and realized that it has been over a month since I last posted something. That is just too long to be going without posting any new content here. So I am just going to write a short posting about what is happening in my life.

Well, I found a house. The process of searching for the “right” house to live in is a long and tiring process. At least it was for me. I’m not a rich man, so finding a house that was in decent shape in a neighborhood that is safe to live in was a bit of a challenge. But after about a month of looking and praying to God, I found one. It’s nothing fancy, but I can see myself living there for many years to come.

Now it’s just waiting for the bank. I am hoping this doesn’t take too long. But after listening to the mortgage guy at my bank, I understand why the banks are in trouble and why it takes so long to get a mortgage loan. I find it very strange that a bank can claim to have a mortgage division, but they don’t really handle their own loans. They pass it on to another “larger” bank, which has the ability to sell your mortgage to another bank if they feel it’s in “their” best interest. The whole process is no longer in the best interest of the person borrowing the money nor is it in the best interest of the bank the borrow went to in the first place. They seem to be able to just wash their hands of it and say it’s no longer our responsibility if something happens with the mortgage. I just find this very disappointing and am planning on paying my loan off years ahead of time.

I would like to thank all those that have been sending me messages. I would like to apologize for not being able to response as quickly as I would like. I am staying between several locations at the moment and this makes it more difficult to get online and response as quickly as I would like.

I am still planning on having the website I am working on that will focus on how Gay Catholic live their lives. If you are interested in sharing your story, please contact me for more information. The main focus of this website is to help those that may be struggling with living as a gay Catholic find inspiration from others that have manage to find a way.

Congratulation on your new house Joe! I’m glad that your ordeal is finally over. I know it wasn’t easy to find a house, plus the bank paperwork, you’ll finally be able to work much better, easier and have your own bed too, from that point on, I think your website design business will grow and prosper 🙂
